We view the window as a tangible, attractive and sustainable design product that is stylishly showcased as a link between the facade of a building and the design of the home interior. We’re proud of this team achievement and are pleased that our high-quality products and our spirit of innovation have proved convincing and have obviously led to a high level of customer satisfaction. We’re grateful for the trust placed in us in the form of the seals and awards we’ve received. Salamander wins German Design Award with Greta®
With our new product Greta® we have won one of the most important and renowned German design awards for the first time: the German Design Award. In the category “Excellent Product Design – Eco Design”, Salamander was able to convince the jury that the Greta® window is the design project of a sustainable future. The German Design Award, which is presented once a year by the German Design Council, distinguishes innovative projects that provide answers to the challenges of our time with high claims of design and sustainability, that take design to the next level and fulfil the highest customer claims.
With the innovative and sustainable product Greta®, Salamander combines long-standing experience in window development, maximum design standards and consistent sustainability. An innovative formula that makes full use of high-quality window recycling materials creates a unique, natural texture featuring a concrete aesthetic. Thanks to its modern, open-pored surface, Greta® additionally is a haptic experience. Greta® is manufactured from 100% renewable energies, using the company’s own hydroelectric power plants, PV systems and green electricity.
Salamander impresses with excellent innovation work
We excelled in the 29th round of the TOP 100 competition as a creative powerhouse and were awarded the TOP 100 seal 2022. Only particularly innovative medium-sized companies are honoured with this award. A scientific selection process is at the heart of the TOP 100 innovation competition. On behalf of compamedia, the organiser of the ranking, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team examined over 100 innovation indicators from five categories: Innovation-Promoting Top Management, Innovation Climate, Innovative Processes and Organisation, External Orientation/Open Innovation and Innovation Success.

Salamander Windows named Best in Germany
Based on the industry study by FOCUS-MONEY and ServiceValue, “global satisfaction” of consumers around the topic of “home and garden” was assessed for the first time in 2021. 106,000 consumer opinions were collected in the past 36 months.
Salamander Window received the customer rating “VERY GOOD” and is thus one of Germany’s best in the area of window fabricators.
For us, this confirms that we are on the right track with our “myWindow” strategy, which focuses on private customers and their needs. In consideration of location, climate zones, house building periods, specific house characteristics as well as individual wishes, Salamander finds the right windows for everyone’s needs – thanks to the so-called C3 principle.
