The new SALAMANDER | passivHaus_Fenster window line – The all-round sensible choice for all-round quality!
With its innovative new solution, Salamander Window & Door Systems brings windows up to passive house standards at a manageable added cost. This not only helps to save on high heating costs: it also makes window replacement easier thanks to the 25% lighter window elements and employs micro-bionic insulation. And on top of that, the result looks fantastic. A sophisticated idea developed in Bavaria’s Unterallgäu region fully in line with the trend towards sustainable management and living.
Windows are the element of a building that allows the most efficient use of thermal insulation. Often, the right combination of windows can save energy costs in the double-digit range. This generally means higher initial building costs, but these costs are manageable. And investments in the right windows not only pay for themselves after a certain time: they also mean a measurably smaller ecological footprint. This is something that Salamander takes very seriously. Sustainability is an integral part of Salamander’s DNA, and SALAMANDER | passivHaus_Fenster – the latest product line from the Allgäu’s forge of creativity for developing innovative, sustainable and perfectly designed window profiles – takes this fundamental concern into account: SALAMANDER | passivHaus_Fenster replaces the conventional steel reinforcement of windows with a high-strength, especially heat-insulating core made of recycled foam, our evoCore. Around the entire frame. But what makes the windows truly special are the small air bubbles, inspired by nature, that are enclosed in the recycled foam. Like birds that fluff up their feathers in winter to create additional tiny, heat-insulating layers of air, the micro-bionic insulation of windows from the new SALAMANDER | passivHaus_Fenster line is the element that raises a building to even higher passive house standards.
But SALAMANDER | passivHaus_Fenster windows not only have the advantage of making a major contribution to energy conservation throughout the building. The use of evoCore, the recycled PET foam instead of steel also reduces the weight of the windows by up to 25% – and thus the ecological footprint – by saving CO2 already during transport. Window fitters will always be thankful to the house builder for the weight reduction. If the new windows should ever need replacement at some point, Salamander also guarantees 100% recycling thanks to the easy separability of the PET and the PVC from which the profiles were made. Responsibility for the next generation, which already starts with production: soon, the share of energy used in production generated from in-house solar and hydroelectric power will rise to the proud figure of 61%. That Salamander also stays true to its high aesthetic standards goes without saying. Windows from the SALAMANDER | passivHaus_Fenster product line are available for the highly flexible greenEvolution system in all six designs as well as for the attractive, adaptable and high-performance bluEvolution line.
