SUCCESSFUL PRESENTATION AT THE FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2018 EXHIBITION
With innovative new products, market-oriented advanced developments in the profile industry, and the newly designed, customer-focused app “SIPortal”, Salamander presented itself in top form to professional visitors from at home and abroad at Fensterbau Frontale. This 100 year-old company with rich traditions has therefore set its course for an efficient and process-oriented future, where Salamander Industrie-Produkte GmbH (www.sip-windows.com), one of the leading European system providers and manufacturers of highly energy-saving uPVC quality window systems, shall continue its success story.
In addition to a modern and fresh design on a stand area of over 600 m², Salamander also fascinated visitors with its attractive new products. In the field of digitisation, Salamander successfully presented its innovative and modular Industry 4.0 solution approach for efficient partnerships, the newly programmed customer app “SIPortal”, to its window manufacturers. This innovative development has created an ideal interface to bridge the gap between Salamander as a system provider and its processors using features like surveys, feedback on QA topics, a pallet management system, and order information.
The highlight was the evolutionDrive lift-and-slide door, which proved to be an eye-catcher with the new narrow frame model “evolutionDrive: Free” and the attractive aluminium cover shell. Salamander has designed “evolutionDrive: Free” as a low frame for fixed glazing that is up to 60% narrower than the standard model. This modern solution scores points for more than just its sophisticated appearance: Thanks to the slim frame contour, larger glass surfaces can be implemented, which guarantee a cosy, warm room temperature and also provide solar gains. The attached aluminium shell in a striking golden colour left a very special impression on visitors, which confirmed the almost limitless variety of colours in the area of finishing options. The patent-pending, fitting-independent security technology for tested break-in resistant elements up to resistance class RC 2 was also presented. The security mechanism functions regardless of the fitting used, and also enables use of thresholds with flat sliding rails or renovation thresholds in particular. This makes Salamander the only system provider on the market in the growth segment of lift and slide doors that offers a solution for tested break-in resistance that is independent of fittings and thresholds.
Salamander satisfied its international audience with the new product portfolio featured by the 60 mm series. The evolutionDrive:60 sliding window and door system was demonstrated, which offers a wide range of opening variations thanks to its various fixed frames. Two or three-row opening designs and a special variation featuring fixed glazing may be implemented; externally installed insect protection frames are also possible. Plus, the new outward-opening Casement System Streamline: 60 was also displayed, which includes a wide range of solutions for side-hung and top-hung windows.
The variety of systems was complemented by the Salamander Streamline profile lines, which feature modern faceplate variants for minimised profile face widths and satisfy the trend towards increasingly larger glass components, and the newly designed, improved inner geometries in the 3D system. The high-quality, trend-setting, and highly energy-saving profile system Brügmann bluEvolution 82 won over stand visitors with its clever system details, since the universal application of various components ensures the maximum finishing flexibility.
“We can identify 100% with this year's motto for Fensterbau Frontale, 'We open more than just windows and doors', since we participated with an absolutely professional team, have global product solutions at our disposal, and benefit from a strong global network with our partners. This was clearly noticeable at Fensterbau Frontale and we have consistently positive exhibition results,” agreed Götz Schmiedeknecht, CEO, and Wolfgang Sandhaus, Managing Partner at Salamander.
